Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Melissa was first introduced to Music Together® when a family across the country gifted her children a semester of classes in 2013. As a mom of two toddlers she recognized after only a few classes how amazing and important the program is not just for her own children but for all children.  Melissa spent much of her time as a child and young adult participating in school and community theater and local and regional choir .  She also studied music theater at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia.  Melissa completed MusicTogether teacher training in Winter of 2015.  In addition to teaching and being Center Director for Music Together of Fayetteville part time she is also a full-time wife and mother to two Music Together loving children aged 6 and 4 1/2.

Cena became a Music Together parent in the summer of 2016, when her daughter, Lydia, was gifted classes for her first birthday. Cena and Lydia instantly fell in love with the program and continued to attend classes over the next year. As a parent, Cena loved watching her daughter grow and learn with music just as she had as a child. She grew up in a home where music was always around - her mom played the piano, her dad the guitar, and everyone was always singing together. She became involved in musical theatre, band and choir in both school and at church and attended theatre camps in the summers. So, when Cena found out a new teacher was needed for Music Together of Fayetteville, she was thrilled and knew she needed to make this her next adventure. She completed training in June and is beyond excited to make music with the families in Fayetteville and Fort Bragg!
